Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer with strong knowledge of FDA and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and submitting Customs entries while ensuring full compliance with all federal regulations—especially those governing FDA- and PGA-regulated commodities. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about trade compliance and staying current with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and transmit Customs entries in accordance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations.
• Analyze import documentation for FDA/PGA-regulated products and ensure all admissibility and data requirements are met.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on FDA, USDA, CDC, and other PGA regulations related to imported goods.
• Submit and track FDA/PGA filings, including facility registrations, product codes, Prior Notice, and other necessary documentation.
• Communicate with importers, carriers, truckers, and government agencies to resolve holds, documentation issues, or compliance concerns.
• Stay current with updates to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), government regulations, and tariff changes affecting import compliance.
• Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of Customs entry writing or Customs brokerage experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on FDA/PGA-regulated imports.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, FDA requirements, and other PGA compliance standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple entries in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both internal and customer-facing.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
